This time I did not procrastinate... however - none of the ideas I had seemed to work. Or I wouldn't like them - which is quite the same :) But in the end - I found out one I liked: both making it and the end result.
Therese, however, was much faster than I was and just a couple of days after I sent her package I received one in the mail. It looked like this:
I know what you think - if the exterior looks like this... what could it hide inside?
Good question :) First it hid a beautiful box:
I love boxes and the cheerful pattern and colouring of this one made me smile even more.
Inside the box? Treasures!!
Some goodies Therese chose for me - they are all gorgeous (I forgot to ask her what the large 2 types of stones are, the green and the green / brown ones). You have to see the amazing lustre on the tiger's eye or the perfect clear encasing of the lamp work, I've never seen lamp work so beautiful!
Done! Should I show you want I sent her? No? Why not? Aren't you curious?
He he, I am just teasing you - of course I am not done! After all this was about *making* beauties. And beauties did Therese make!
First, look at this bracelet:
If I wasn't afraid it will break, I would wear it to sleep too! As it stands, I just kept wearing it during the day :) The colours are just perfect (keep them in mind for a bit later!); I love its texture and its feel on my wrist. I have one word for it: perfect!
But, as you can imagine, the box contained a real ornament:
'Dressed', as you can see in the most elegant and pure beaded net. My picture is far from reality - it has such a beautiful glow, and it feels so delicate, it's almost surreal! I hang both the ornament Therese made and the pink-hat snowman on my chandelier - I simply cannot wait for Christmas to arrive!
Thank you, Therese - your Treasures are priceless and they have a special place in my heart!
As for what I sent her? I will let you visit Therese's blog to see :) Just keep in mind that great minds think alike - it is quite funny.
Please visit the other participants - you'll get into the Holiday spirit for sure!
