Beads in the mail

No, it's not the Bead Soup - not yet, at least :) I sent the package to my partner, Tania, fingers crossed our packages get to their respective destination in time (I just realized I will be leaving again right before the reveal, so I'll have a crazy month of July... again... :)) This post is about the Pantene Swap Lori organised a couple of months ago - somehow I managed to never post pictures. My partner back then was Dee Torcherer Elgie, from Cherry Obsidia (I know, I get all the exotic designer names, ain't I?)

We both forgot to take pictures of our own packages, before they left, so I cannot show you what I sent, but   I can show you what beauties I have received!

First, the beads greeted me gracefully:

There were gorgeous lampwork beads in the most wonderful colours:

There was this cute heart (glass) and a bit of sari... yummy... I really wanted to try my hands at some sari and now I have what to try my hands at :)

There were gorgeous wood beads and a strand of freshwater pearls - in the most pastel green I've ever seen:

There were some delicious sparkly teal beads:

There were beautiful faceted beads (they seem to be agate and probably carnelian) and a splendid ceramic pendant:

There was a faceted focal bead - agate again, a beautiful shade of teal, and a few silver-tone crosses, perfect as charms:

There were more lampwork beads:

And there was the most splendid assortment of encased glass beads I have ever seen: they are cute like bunnies and I know what I want to make with them, just didn't find the time, hopefully this week:

Wasn't I lucky? I love everything - I just need to sit down for a moment and start making them into beautiful jewelry to be worn :)

Thanks, Dee!

  1. Glad you like everything! The silver crosses are sterling silver, and the ceramic pendant was made by me, as well as all the lampwork. The encased glass beads are called cane glass and they are so yummy! And you're right, the smaller faceted beads are agate and the larger ones carnelian - can't wait to see what you make! :)

    1. I'll make amends on the 'ownership' of lampwork :) Did you made the canes too? I can't figure out that one yet, maybe when I will have time to spend on glass a bit more.
Thanks again for the package, this week should be their time, cross your fingers!
