CBC Admin day

These days it's all about appreciation: when autumn starts getting into our systems we start thinking of end of year, Christmas, Thanksgiving, giving thanks...

Creative Bead Chat group :: All Pretty Things

I am part of a few artsy groups on facebook, one of them being the Creative Bead Chat. We spend lots of time there, socializing, exchanging tips and ideas, posing questions and finding answers from a wonderful social group.

Following the uber-fun de-stash event of last week, Lisa (of Pine Ridge Treasures) came up with this gorgeous idea of having a 'CBC Administrators Day'. The idea is simple, like all gorgeous ideas are: today we all post the links to the stores of our CBC Administrators (a link-love event of huge proportions, considering the group has over 1,000 members right now).

Without further ado, here are the links for the CBC Administrators (in alphabetical orders):

Karen Totten: http://www.starryroadstudio.com/

Karen is a wiz of ceramics, you have to see what she can create, it's completely out of this world! I love ceramics, and I love Karen's components.

Keirsten Giles: http://lunedesigns.etsy.com/

By her own description, Keirsten creates 'Uncommon handmade jewelry' - her designs are not only uncommon, but very fresh and, most important, extremely wearable!

Marla Gibson: http://spiceboxdesigns.blogspot.com/

Marla makes beautiful seed-beaded jewelry and if you know me, you'll know I am in complete awe with people that can create with those tintsy-bintsy little beads (aptly called 'seed', they are hardly bigger than seeds!).
Marla James: www.etsy.com/shop/marlasmud

Another ceramic wiz, Marla creates beautiful organic components. Your jewelry will never be the same after you try ceramic components!

Melinda Orr: http://www.etsy.com/shop/orrtec
Melinda is the group's metal wiz: if you've never seen her jewelry or components make sure you visit her shop and blog. She etches, she patinas, she fold-forms: you name it, she'll make it. She also works with clay and ceramic, and she makes beautiful jewelry too (I am totally in love with her metal-lether bracelets).

So here you are: if you need high-quality hand-made components or if you need beautiful hand-crafted one-of-a-kind jewelry all you need is visit one of the shops above!

Have fun shopping!
