Canadian penny

Some time ago the powers in charge in Canada figured it out it costs 1.6 cents to make one penny... which means: the Bank of Canada is loosing money on the pennies! Everybody know loosing money is not something a bank will do readily :)

So instead of finding out way to lower the cost (maybe they aren't any) - they have decided to... discontinue the penny. Today - it is the last day the mint produces the Canadian Penny.

It's somewhat sad - and now is my chance to collect the little buggers :)

Goodbye, little copper disk - I will miss you!

  1. Oh No! I always love it when they sneak into my pocket, even though they are not supposed to be in circulation here. This makes me a little sad.

    Succes tuturor !
